Agrisoma ETL technology is based on targeted homologous recombination of new traits into the pericentric region (containing the plant’s rDNA) of a single, pre-selected chromosome, leading to an engineered chromosome region that contains multiple new traits. These pericentric rDNA arrays are a conserved feature of plant chromosomes, are found in all major crop families and most plant species, including manya eukaryotic algae. The ETL chromosomes demonstrate robust performance and stability.
